Having recently used them as a local production company for the BBC programme Serious Desert, I found them to be a hugely resourceful, responsive & efficient.

We sent 8 children & production team to the deserts of Namibia to film for a 6 part series for Children’s BBC, which involved the children trekking Rhino and building a Camel corral in various distant locations.

Namib Film provided everything from transport, filming permission, accommodation and local crew.

NHK CosmoMedia Europe would like to take a moment to thank Namib Film for their outstanding work on a live television broadcast for the 2012 New Year’s Eve program “Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White singing competition)” featuring a Japanese singer, MISIA. From the first contact, it was clear that we were in good hands and that Namib Film’s team, headed by Mr. Guy Nockles (Namibian Producer) and Ms. Elnette Pearson (Production Manager) were very capable.

All communication was clear, informative and prompt from start to finish. During pre-production, Namib Film organized and joined us on a recce to scout the various possible locations for the broadcast.

From the start, the subsequent live transmission ran like clockwork and we were able to achieve everything we set out to accomplish. This could only be achieved through the experience and local knowledge Namib Film possesses, as this production was logistically extremely challenging due to satellite uplinks in rural uninhabited areas, crews from all over the world, equipment from across borders and accommodation and catering in the most extreme environment.

The broadcast was watched by 40 million viewers and set a record for this show. We were exceptionally surprised and very pleased with the excellent and professional service we received from Namib Film. I would use Namib Film again in the future and would recommend them to other production companies.
