The word desert is derived from the Latin word meaning “abandoned”, but with NAMIB FILM nothing could be further from the truth. As experts in Desert Logistics, you’ll find that we have thought of everything to make your shoot in the sand as safe, simple and relaxed as possible. Namibia was the first country in the world to incorporate the protection of the environment into its constitution, and at NAMIB FILM, the fragile desert environments and ecosystems unique to Namibia remain at the top of our list of priorities. After all, destroying those very qualities that the filmmaker seeks in the first place, should be prevented at all times.

NAMIB FILM thus remains the front–runner in “Location Rehabilitation”, which is a specification required by government when granting filming permission. We have devised a method of rehabilitating the desert that has been approved by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and has proven to be cost effective.
