General
Media Film Service is an Arri product driven company and has been in existence since March 2000. Media has grown from a small camera and grips rental company to a full service film equipment rental company offering the best quality and widest range of equipment. The company’s business ethic is to provide the best possible service to the film industry.

Equipment
Media Film Service rents out a full range of filming equipment and provides Kodak film stock and consumables.

Cameras
Arriflex and Arricam film cameras as well as High Definition and other video cameras such as Technovision high speed camera are rented and supported by Media.

Grips
Technocrane, the Chapman Hybrid dollies, Remote heads. A full range of the grip equipment tracks, fluid heads, geared heads, mini jibs, grip accessories, grip boxes and grip box accessories.

Lighting
A full range of Arri lighting – Daylight, tungsten and fluorescent lampheads. Unique items such as the Balloon light are also available. A wide range of vehicle mounted silent generators, which includes Unimog and Ford
F 250 all terrain vehicles. All distribution and lighting grip equipment is also available.

Specialized Gear
Highly specialized gear is also available from Media Film Service. These include the Milo and Mo-Sys motion control systems. New items (such as Scorpio Remote Heads and the Shelly Ward carbon fiber Arm and Remote Head) are continuously being researched and added to the inventory.

Aerials
Media carries the Tyler nose and side mounts as well as the Wescam. A full aerials solution is available through Media Aerial Service.

Aeroplane
Media’s Cessna 210, 6–seater aeroplane is used extensively to support film shoots in remote areas such as Namibia and central South Africa. The plane is used to deliver Kodak Film Stock and equipment as well as support technicians. It can also be used for location scouting and production support.

Kodak
Media Film Service provides all the current lines in Kodak colour negative. Kodak is available 24/7 from any of the 3 branches in SA. Stock is often delivered to far off and remote places, x-ray free with the company aeroplane.
Tracking Vehicle: Complete tracking truck and trailer for vehicle rigging is available.

Underwater Gear
Special underwater lighting and camera equipment can be rented from Media.

Consumables
A full range of consumables and support material is available from Media.

Studio and Offices
A 432 square metre (10m high) studio is available at the Cape Town office of Media Film Service. There is a further 93 square metre office and make up space.

International Contacts
Media has extensive international contacts and agreements and can source almost any required equipment. Our specialized Cape Town workshop can manufacture or source special items and mounts for most purposes.
